Using Templates
CheckoutMate includes 18+ pre-built rule templates to get you started without a blank slate.
What templates are
Templates are pre-configured rules with sensible default conditions and actions. They cover the most common checkout customization scenarios across all four rule types. Each template includes:
- Pre-filled conditions based on the use case
- A recommended action with default values
- A description of expected outcomes
Templates are starting points — you can customize every part before activating.
Browsing templates
Go to Rule Ideas in the sidebar. Templates are organized by:
- Tier — Starter, Growing, or Enterprise (complexity level)
- Goal — Conversion, AOV, Fraud Prevention, UX, Loyalty, Shipping
- Type — Discount, Payment, Delivery, Validation
Use the search bar to find templates by keyword, or filter by goal and type to narrow down.
Template tiers

| Enterprise | Complex logic, B2B workflows, advanced segmentation |
Using a template
- Go to Rule Ideas
- Browse or search for a template
- Click Preview to see conditions and actions before committing
- Click Use this rule to open the rule builder pre-filled with the template
- Adjust values (discount %, threshold, message text, etc.) for your store
- Click Activate
